Creating Healthy Lifestyles

At Cornerstone Chiropractic Wellness Center, we focus on more than symptom relief, we help patients improve their overall health and prevent future pain through personalized chiropractic care for both children and adults. Our approach emphasizes correcting underlying issues, maintaining long-term spinal health, and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal and function properly. We also believe that healthy habits, a positive mindset, and overall wellness all play an important role in achieving better health and quality of life.

How Does It Work?

Chiropractic care is a natural, non-invasive approach that focuses on helping the body heal and function at its best without drugs or surgery.

We Look at the Whole Picture

At Cornerstone Chiropractic Wellness Center, we evaluate more than just symptoms. Along with exams, imaging, and health history, we consider lifestyle factors such as nutrition, exercise, stress, work, and daily habits to better understand your overall health.

We Seek the Origin of the Problem

Rather than simply masking pain, chiropractic care focuses on identifying and correcting the underlying cause of discomfort. By addressing the source of the issue, we aim to provide long-term relief and improved function.

We Correct the Source

Chiropractors identify spinal misalignments called subluxations, which can interfere with nerve function and overall health. These misalignments may result from injuries, repetitive stress, poor posture, or everyday wear and tear. Chiropractic adjustments help restore proper alignment, improve mobility, and support the body’s natural healing process.

A History of Chiropractic Care

Spinal manipulation and natural healing practices have been used for thousands of years, with records dating back to ancient China, Greece, Egypt, Babylon, and other early civilizations. Historical writings describe the use of manual techniques to relieve pain, improve mobility, and restore health. Hippocrates, often called the “Father of Medicine,” recognized the importance of spinal health and manual treatment, famously stating, “Get knowledge of the spine, for this is the requisite for many diseases.”

Modern chiropractic care officially began in 1895 when Daniel David Palmer performed the first chiropractic adjustment, helping restore a patient’s hearing after adjusting his spine. He later founded the Palmer School of Chiropractic, which remains one of the leading chiropractic schools today. Since then, chiropractic care has continued to grow in recognition and scientific support, with numerous studies showing its effectiveness in reducing pain, improving recovery, increasing patient satisfaction, and helping lower overall healthcare costs.
